including $13 million for the Country Fire Service (CFS), $1.9 million for the Department for Environment and Water, $1.8 million for the State Emergency Service, and $589 000 for the Metropolitan Fire Service for additional response costs for large scale bushfire, storm and flood events that occurred across the state.
Significant incidents include the Deep Creek fire in difficult terrain and widespread storm activity leading to flooding in the north of the state. CFS costs include extensions to firefighting aircraft availability to cover the extended period of bushfire risk.
