NEW STATE GYMNASTICS CENTRE
$100 million over three years for the delivery of a state-of-the-art facility supporting community, national and international gymnastics events, and providing opportunities for shared use including for other indoor sports.
STATE ARTS MEDIA HUB AT TAPANGKA
$49.3 million by 2029-30 towards the development of a new state-of-the-art Arts and Media Hub to be delivered in partnership with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, co‑locating the State Theatre Company, State Opera and Country Arts South Australia.
KAREN ROLTON OVAL UPGRADE
$5 million in 2026-27 towards the upgrade of facilities at Karen Rolton Oval, including the installation of new lighting, accessible terracing and landscaping.
NATURE-BASED TOURISM PROJECTS
$1.2 million in 2026-27 to improve the iconic Heysen Trail by purchasing land near Cudlee Creek to remove a road diversion, and upgrade infrastructure at Flinders Chase National Park to ensure tourists can continue to experience the natural wonder of Admirals Arch.
ADELAIDE FRINGE
$1.5 million over four years in additional support to the Adelaide Fringe, reinforcing South Australia’s reputation as the nation’s festival capital, enabling the Fringe to strengthen its Honey Pot initiative, attract national and international arts programmers, and create more opportunities for artists. This brings government support for the Fringe to $20 million over four years.
GAWLER HARNESS RACING CLUB
$1 million in 2025-26 to the Gawler Harness Racing Club to contribute towards upgrades of its facilities.
MAJOR EVENTS
Building on the success of Gather Round, the government is bringing more major events including the Australian Open Golf Tournament and the MotoGP to Adelaide. These events will attract visitors, boost tourism and hospitality spending, and strengthen the state’s global reputation as a premier sporting and major event destination, driving economic growth, investment, and long-term benefits for local businesses.
